ITEIP is accessed through each county's Family Resources Coordinator (FRC).
Any family who has a concern about their child's development (ages
birth to 3 years)
may request a screening and/or assessment to determine if
their child is eligible for the
ITEIP. This program is designed to
encourage normal development patterns and
improve overall functioning. National
Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY)
http://www.nichcy.org/ NICHCY is the national information and referral center that provides
information on
disabilities and disability-related issues to anyone (materials
available in Spanish).
Children and youth with disabilities (birth to age
22) are NICHCY's focus. Services
include: personal responses to specific
questions, referrals to other organizations and
sources of help, and information
searches of NICHCY's databases and library. National
Attention Deficit Disorder http://www.add.org/
an organization built around
the needs of adults and young adults with ADD and ADHD. We seek to serve
individuals with ADD, as well as those who love, live with, teach, counsel, and
treat those who do. National Organization of Rare Diseases
(NORD):

This is a national clearinghouse for information about rare diseases and
syndromes.
NORD can provide information on symptoms, causes and treatments
of over 1,100
rare diseases. A rare disorder affects fewer than 200,000
people in the United States. Washington Assistive
Technology Alliance (WATA): http://wata.org/
WATA is a consumer advocacy network that assists families of children with
disabilities.
Services include: information and referral, consultation,
and training related to selection of
assistive technology devices; legal advice
and advocacy; policy development; and publications. Washington
PAVE (Parents are Vital in Education):

PAVE provides information and referrals to community resources and support
services to
families who have children and/or adults with disabilities.
The mission of PAVE is to promote
independence, empowerment and future
opportunities for people with disabilities, their families
